The Blueprint Research

The Blueprint Louisiana agenda for reform is grounded in research.  Over six months, our team gathered data, met with experts, and analyzed reports to produce the final list of Blueprint recommendations.  As part of this extensive fact-finding and decision-making process, Blueprint Louisiana:

  • Convened over 750 citizens across the state in nine regional workshops;
  • Met individually with more than 50 subject-matter experts in Louisiana and across the country;
  • Participated in a public opinion poll of 600 likely Louisiana voters;
  • Reviewed over 400 reports on a wide range of topics; and
  • Produced more than 100 pages of analysis that informed the Steering Committee’s priority recommendations.

Blueprint Louisiana would like to sincerely thank all who contributed to our findings and recommendations.  The following individuals were especially generous with their time, energy, and insight, for which we are extremely grateful: James Brandt, President, Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana; Stephanie Desselle, Vice President for Public Policy, Council for a Better Louisiana; Libby Doggett, Executive Director, PreK Now; Jason El-Koubi, Policy Director, Baton Rouge Area Chamber; Barry Erwin, President and CEO, Council for a Better Louisiana; Teresa Falgoust, Louisiana Kids Count Coordinator, Agenda for Children; Danielle Gonzales, Deputy State Program Director, PreK Now; Jim Henderson, Senior Vice President, Career and Technical Education, Louisiana Community and Technical College System; David Hood, Senior Healthcare Policy Analyst, Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana; Brooks Keel, Vice Chancellor, Research and Economic Development, Louisiana State University; the Louisiana Board of Regents staff; Jennifer Marusak, Communications Director, Louisiana Good Roads and Transportation Association (Driving Louisiana Forward); Joe D.
